PULSE Asia reports that 47 percent — nearly one in two Filipinos — believe President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo is the most unacceptable person to lead the nation.
This sentiment was reflected across the country's geographical areas and socio-economic classes except in the Visayas where majority consider former President Joseph Estrada as the most unacceptable leader, according to Pulse Asia's nationwide survey of 1,200 respondents.
The survey was done on July 2-14 2005 at a time when there were simultaneous calls for the President's resignation and congressional hearings on jueteng and the Garcillano tapes were being conducted.
Meanwhile, 26 percent of Filipinos think Vice President Noli de Castro is the best person to lead the Philippines. The survey shows his largest support comes from the Visayas and Mindanao and from classes D and E. Those from the Metro Manila and ABC classes, however, favor Sen. Panfilo Lacson's leadership.
